Wineparties.co.uk is a brilliant way to entertain clients or staff. It's also great for your special, social occasion. We also have some great ways to include business networking and added value fun to the occasion. We can tailor the experience to suit you, making it part of a wider event or stand-alone. If you're tired of trying all the same old events for your company, organisation, club or society, why not host a wineparties.co.uk experience? It's also perfect for a charity fundraiser.

You can run the event yourself, or wineparties.co.uk staff can run it for you, providing everything you need for a memorable experience - it couldn't be easier!

How do our events work?

Wineparties events are interactive, innovative and fun. It is certainly not tutored wine tasting and is perfect for the everyday wine drinker and anyone who fancies themselves as an expert! Firstly, you tell us the date and venue and we do everything else, including the supply of wine, special tasting glasses, notes, pens, prizes, all the set up and the fun hosting. We can also give you some advice on the best type of venue. So, in short you have to do very little.

We usually divide guests up into small tasting teams of no more than four people a team. At the start of the event we conduct a fun 'this is how to taste wine' coaching session. Each team tastes 8 wines (4 white and 4 red) and they have to work out three things about each wine:

1. The grape variety
2. The price
3. The country of origin

Now we know that's a bit tricky so we give every team a set of Taster's Notes which lists the eight grape varieties and a clue to their taste, the price range of the wines tasted and the eight countries of origin. Teams work through the wines, which we pour for them into our wine tasting glasses, and they usually discuss, ruminate, argue and change their mind countless times before writing their answers on the results table on the back of the Taster's Notes!

At the end of the evening we reveal the true identity of each wine and ask the teams to tot up their scores and we hand out prizes to the winning team. The event can be flexible in terms of time, include food etc all to suit you. We travel all over the country giving our wine tasting evenings.

Prices

We offer three levels of event

Grape £17.50pp (wines valued £5 to £7.50)

Vintner £25pp (wines £6 to £10.50)

Sommelier £30pp (wines £9 to £16)

The price levels vary because of the numbers of tasters, value of the wines and prizes. All of our wines are specially selected by our expert wine supplier and are more commonly found on hotel and restaurant wine lists and not on your local supermarket shelf!

* If the location of your event is beyond a 25-mile radius of Jn 33 of the M1, we charge a £50 flat fee to cover all travelling and subsistence expenses.
